You're doing quite well i see, read a lot of tutorials and experiment with all of the tools.
You'll see that practicing with PS makes a lot of progress.

You're going in the right way, just DON'T save your images as GIF
Use PNG instead!
Also put a bit variation in it, you keep using the same font.

There's nothing wrong with GIF, but PNG is even smaller size. Don't use BMP you probably mean?

Well, BMP has huge sizes, but with GIF you can have problems with transparancy.
Just use png to be safe ^^

Not if you use Photoshop CS2, which asks very clearly to enable or disable transparancy when saving as GIF.

Edit: Atleast, if you make the image in CS2 completely, without importing any other files. GIF is mainly used for animated images and icons, so yes indeed, its better to use PNG or JPEG.

Pretty nice stuff! Although I do have to admit some of them look a bit alike, try putting more variation in your work, like Mynx said.
And yeah, PNG is a smaller format, so saving your pics in that format will save you some time.

Darkdevil, you can post your images with an [img] tag, so that you can see the image directly on the site, like in the other creation posts. I've already done it now for this post.
All you have to do it put the URL between img tags. Example:
